A Medical Social Worker supports not only the patient, but the family and caregiver with financial and legal concerns (including Advanced Directives, Do Not Resuscitate, Durable Power of Attorney, Living Will, and long-term planning.) They provide social and emotional counseling, and also identify and provide community resources. This can include anything from “Meals on Wheels” to counseling
